So I totally forgot to share these funny stories.

On the way to the reception we got stuck in traffic! Bumper to bumper. Slow as heck traffic! It was then that I was so happy I had company,random people around me, and good music to jam out too.

Well 1st here is a picture and a video of this person's truck that we were stuck behind. I think this was his way of telling people not to have a cow in traffic lol! (The voice in the video is of Vairin- he's one of the techs in the office. He wasn't able to work at the time cuz of licensing issues so he was free to come with me to get himself free food and girls #'s lol!)

Then right after the cow.....I was cruising some more, when I saw that I was soon going to be driving along side a car who's gas door was open. So I told Vairin (who was on the phone) that when we got next to the lady to roll down the window and tell her that her gas door was open. So he totally did...Luckly her window was already down (she was on the phone too lol!) and so Vairin told her about her gas door.....Then check out her response----She laughed and said, "Close it for me." And started driving slower and closer to me.

Vairin and I exchanged a look that said "What the freak are u serious?? Um ok??" And I slowed down, pulled closer to her and Vairin undid his seat belt and reached out the window, closed her gas door and the Lady exclaimed "Thx!!"

Random huh!??? lol! Fun times! Fun memories.

Tim Got Married!

Tim and Mary were married Friday in the DC temple and I was able to go to their reception. It was beautiful and fun.

They are such a cute and fun couple.

Thank you to all those who joined us for the tech BBQ!! Its was a lot of fun!!

The guys got together before the feast and played a little basketball and had some fun. I wish I was there to take some picts..But I unfortunately forgot my camera altogether.I will be sure to bring it next time.

I'm so happy that there is such a nice park so close to us and that we were able to get out and have some fun together.

I can't wait till the next activity. Any suggestions?

Rockville!

Well, we are all almost here! For those that are not here yet, we are excited to meet u or to see u again!
The apartments are just as great as the pictures and it is fun to have things close to us. There is a grocery store (Giant) just around the corner and down the street a little bit. There is also a cheaper grocery store down the same street as Giant called Bottom Dollar. However, I learned the hard way that they ask you to pay 5 cents per grocery bag! But dont worry, if u don't want to pay for the bags, they will give u boxes for free.
Heads up: u park in a parking garage then ride an elevator to ur floor then walk down the hall to ur apt...so.....have people help you when u move in and with ur 1st major grocery shopping spree. :) or get something with wheels to put ur groceries on lol!
Also, you do need a keyfob to get into the parking garage and into the buildings- they will be supplied to you from Brandon along with your apt keys. There is also assigned parking that will be explained to you.
Some other things that are close are: Walmart- about 9 miles away, Target-about 5 mile away, a Mall 5 miles away and a Movie Theater across the street!

Hey I just created a blog for the Apx wives that will be joining us this summer in DC. The blog is to record the fun us girls are having while the men are out working hard and to announce the fun things we are planning to do. The Fenestra Apts! Aka DC Office's sweet pad!

Here is a little about the apartments that we are going to be living in this summer.

The link to the website is on the right column of this page.

They are located above a shopping center and near a metro. The center not only has shops but places to eat as well.

The apts themselves will be furnished by APX with beds, dressers, night stands, couches, side tables and kitchen tables.

The apartment complex has the following amenities:

*full sized washer and dryers

*fitness center

*club room

*pool and sun deck

*large walk-in closets

* hardwood floors

*community wi-fi

*big parking garage

*gas stove

*gourmet kitchen with microwave, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances

*luxurious baths with soaking tub in master bath

*ac

*wired for high speed internet

APX does ask you to bring the following:

*Shower Curtain - sounds silly but damage has been made by guys not using these

*and the only other thing that APX needs is for you to be the great, respectful, clean person that you are and to help keep these apts and furniture clean and in good condition

You are free to bring whatever you need for the summer to help you feel at home.
